What exactly is E-waste?

E-waste or electronic waste is created when an electronic product is discarded after the end of its useful life.

Electronic waste or e-waste may be defined as discarded computers, electronic equipment , mobile phones , televisions and refrigerators etc. 

Raising Awareness about E-waste Programme

As we move towards a fully digital country, it is estimated about 50,000 tonnes of e-waste are generated in a year. Our aim for this programme is to encourage students to be “socially responsible and active global students”. The issue of e-waste itself tends to overwhelm most people due to the enormity of the problem. However, most of the people do not realize that e-waste management is possible.
